Academy Award winning actor Paul Newman passed away at the age of 83 after a fight with cancer. Breaking out as an actor in the 1950's, Newman remained active as an actor for almost his entire life. The sex symbol went on to pursue a side-career in car racing, even participating into his 80s.
Newman had also spent much of his time and energy as an activist. In the 1960's he became associated with various liberal causes and in 1982 he founded "Newman's Own," a food company which donates all it's profits to charity.
