On the edge of COVID-19 outbreak in France, Jerome Sessini travelled to Grand-East region, his home-land. A region already devastated by economic and social crisis in the past decades, it has been the primary most affected region of the country by COVID-19. While documenting daily life as long as major events, he looked back at the natural environment between the most untouched of France, Les Vosges.
"Once again, nature became a shelter, it is the only place I feel safe now during the Covid crisis. The strangest thing is that now cities are silent, and the forest is loud of animals and birds noises....
