On December 18, 2019 the US House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump on two counts - Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress - stemming from the investigation into his administration's ongoing relationship and activity with the Ukrainian government. This historic vote marks just the third time in American history a sitting president has been impeached. In the coming weeks, the President will face a trial held in the US Senate to determine if he will be removed from office.
