Newsha Tavakolian travelled to south-west Iran, near the city of Shiraz, to document the manufacturing of world famous Iranian, or as they are more commonly known in English, Persian carpets. Traditional hand-woven carpets used to be made by nomads of the region of the high plains, in the heartland of Iran, but this process was long and expensive.
