From Belgium to Morocco, passing through India and now
Egypt, Harry Gruyaert has been recording the subtle chromatic
vibrations of oriental and occidental shores for more than
20 years. This exhibition reveals the deeply singular character
of his work. It underlines the poetic act which is the core
of his work : the dazzling speed of instance and chance. The
sensual elegancy of his images works alongside his perfect
compositions. Under a pictorial composition very structured,
light fl oods the space. To take pictures becomes a singular
way to create images to marvel at.
