Consignment - SNCC and the Sit-In.

This week in 1960 (Feb. 1) four black college students began a sit-in protest at a lunch counter in Greensboro, N.C., where they’d been refused service. Directly inspired by this, the SNCC formed and continued to stage these non-violent protests, Freedom Rides, and the Mississippi Freedom Summer of 1964 voting & education campaign.
