The GETTY CENTER in Los Angeles, on a 110-acre campus in the Santa Monica Mountains, was inaugurated in December 1997.
The new J. Paul Getty Museum, built by Richard MEIER is bound to be one of the worlds leading art museums.
The campus also includes The Getty Research Institute, the Conservation Institute, The Information Institute,
the Education Institute and the Leadership Institute in a complex meant for researchers as well as for "families and neighbors".
