NEPAL: The enthronement of Ugyen Tendzin Jigme Landhrup, the reincarnation or "Yangsi" of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche one of the most revered Buddhist masters of this century,, was celebrated at Shechen Monastery,Bodnath, on December 5th 1997. When the Lama passed away in 1991 his close diciples were entrusted to find a reincarnation. They did so in Ugyen Tendzin Jigme Lhundrup, born June 30 1993.The meaning of the enthronement is continuity: the Reincarnation taking his seat and picking up where his previous embodiment left off.
Now the Yangsi will stay in the monastery and study with the disciples...
