Large demonstrations were held on September 18th in Paris ,in defence of the 300 African immigrants who had been violently evacuated from the church Saint Bernard on August 23rd,where they had been hunger striking during the whole summer.
This event served as a catalyst in the already heavily infected current social climate in France. With the progress of immigration related violence and the recent declarations of the Front National leader,Jean Marie LE PEN,about the "inequalties of the races",the situation is getting more and more tense.
