These pictures were taken as part of the GMT 2000 project. Over the ten days leading up to 1 January 2000, fourteen photographers from Magnum traveled through England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on an ambitious mission - to record a portrait of Britain at the millennium. The result was a fascinating and unique collection of images that captured a nation at a turning point in history. GMT 2000 was published as a book by Harper Collins.
