Female bullfighters in Spain have always been considered a bit of a joke, barely a notch up from topless darts players. But now they're beating macho matadors at their own game. Christina Sanchez is not the first woman to have killed bulls, nor the only female matador in Spain - her Protegee, Mari Paz Vega, is even younger. But Sanchez is the first woman to have made the top 20 in this ritual that Spaniards call the 'Fiesta National'. And for many, simply her presence in the bullring is a scandal, an affront to a national tradition thought to epitomise masculinity.
