The build-up to this year's Tour de France has been all about six-time winner Lance Armstrong, who is competing in the event for the last time. However this year the opposition could prove too strong for him. Armstrong has not been in good form in the build up to the race, after bowing out of the Paris-Nice, citing a sore throat after terrible conditions on the opening three stages, later he admitted his level of fitness for the race was some way off where he wanted to be. Whatever form he does end up showing, his place is already guaranteed in cycling history.
