Students and workers protested the 28th March 2006 in Paris against the CPE ( First Employment Contract ) a contract for those under the age of 26, that allows employers to sack them at anytime, for no particular reason during the first two years. The end of the demonstation was marred by violence with youngsters who had joined the protest only to attack the demonstrators, journalists and police forces present.
