USA. New York. Against the WEF

More than 3,000 of the worlds' most powerful business and politics leaders met at the World Economic Forum in New York on January 31. On the same day, throngs of protesters gathered on the streets of Manhattan and held peaceful demonstrations opposing the conference and globalisation. The anti-WEF forces object to the closed nature of the meetings and claim that the organisations' failed policies do nothing to relieve poverty among the world's poorest nations.
