American actor, Al Pacino made himself known in the movie industry acting in famous movies such as all three "Godfather" films, "A Dog Day Afternoon," "Serpico," and "Scarface." Pacino, who was raised in the South Bronx, wasn't comfortable with his sudden rise to fame and turned towards drinking and drugs to deal with the new world he found himself in. Then in the 1980's he made movie called "Revolution," which was a colonial drama that bombed in the box office. The movie was such a disappointment that Pacino didn't make another movie for 4 years. He likes to say that he took those four years off, and he spent them working on personal projects that have never been released. After depleting his finances Pacino returned to the movies in 1989 with the hit "Sea of Love." Now at the age of 62, he is starring in the new movie "Insomnia," also starring Robin Williams. Pacino plays an LA detective working on a murder case in Alaska and psychologically unraveling due to his conscience and lack of sleep. It is apparent that through "Insomnia" that he is still a master in his field delivering a riveting performance.
