These photographs follow Dwight D. Eisenhower during a trip to 11 nations during December of 1959. The trip began in Rome with an informal visit with President Gronchi, then to Vatican City. And on to Turkey where he met with President Bayar. Then to Pakistan to meet informally with President Ayub Khan. Next on to Kabul, Afghanistan where he met with King Mohammed Zahir. Then heading to India where he addressed Parliament with President Prasad and Prime Minister Nehru. From India they left for Tehran, Iran to meet with Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi and addressed Parliament. Then making stops in Greece, Tunisia, France, Spain, before meeting with King Mohammed V in Casablanca, Morocco.
