On October 26, 2002 an estimated 100,000 to 200,000 protesters marched to the White House to voice their opposition to a war against Iraq. Calling the possible war a fight for oil rather than against "weapons of mass destruction" as decreed by the Bush administration, demonstrators held signs "Drop Bush -Not Bombs" and "Regime Change Begins At Home". Coordinated demonstrations also took place in San Francisco and at various cities around the world.
