6.3 million residents of Quebec are called to vote for a referendum which will decide wether to give Quebec Premier René LEVESQUE the mandate to negotiate soverignity for Quebec, while maintening an economic association with Canada. Claude RYAN, the Liberal Party Leader and head of the opposition forces, has accused Mr. LEVESQUE of fascist tactics. Canadian Prime Minister Pierre TRUDEAU has been also supporting the vote against the separatism of Quebec, and has compared Mr LEVESQUE to Fidel CASTRO.
