On July 31st, 1969 President Richard Milhouse NIXON, during an around the world tour, stopped in India for 22 hours. During his short visit he met privately with Prime Minister Mrs Indira GANDHI for three hours, visited a small village, and attended a banquet given by Acting Indian President Mr HIDAYATULLAH, which was followed by a programme of Indian Dances and Music.
