"This is a Quechua village near Sucre (60 km from this city). Has 5 000 inhabitants and
15 000 in surrounding regions. These Indians live in a 200 kilometers radius around the village. Once they were warriors, battling and defeating the Spaniards. Their hat of leather is an imitation of the Spanish iron helmet; the dress is of Inca origin. Pictures show these Indians coming to market."
