Rajneesh Chandra Mohan, alias Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, alias Osho died in January 1990 and has come to be one of the most popular gurus of our time. With two million Sannyasins (followers of the sect) in the world as well as another million sympathisers, the sect has accumulated significant power and influence. Two schools, one in England and one in Mexico, teach according to his principles; and around the world there are some 750 Osho meditation centres. The sect's main center is at Aschram, the Osho International Commune, in Poona, India, which has grown to be the biggest therapy and meditation centre in the world.
