Naseem Hamed, better known as Prince Naseem, is the 22 year old rising star of the British boxing scene. Already the WBO Featherweight Champion, Naseem added the IBF belt to his trophies when he beat Tom, 'Boom Boom' Johnston in London on 8th February 1997. Naseem's appeal derives from a mix of excellent boxing skills and a confidence and showmanship, which are prevalent both in and out of the ring.

Having won two out of the four international belts in his class, Naseem hopes to win the remaining two which will ensure his status as one of the all-time boxing greats. He is also hoping to fight Oscar de la Hoya within the next two years, which would see the big money rolling in, but would require him to move up in weight in order for the match to take place.
