The new settlement of Alma in Northern Galilee. This town was built by Jews from Tripoli and one-time Italian Christians from San Nicandra who converted to Judaism. 80 new Jews who journeyed from Italy, are living together with Tripolitanian Jewish settlers.The land is arid and stony and most of the settlers work consists of clearing the fields of stones and constructing pipelines for irrigation. It is located near the Syrian border.
