EGYPT - Veiling Cairo. 2004 - Islamism is no longer an utopia anywhere in the world, less of all in Egypt where militant Islamists and terrorists were mercilessly hunted down by the government. The Muslim Brotherhood, which was the first movement anywhere in the world to struggle for an Islamist state, is now a tame political party acting within the framework of the parliament. One of the Islamist credo was the return of Sharia which includes the veiling of women. Judging by the number of hijabs and "negabs", the full veil, in Cairo streets, Egyptian society is more and and more veiled. Islamists lost the war for political control of Egypt, their ideas triumph today.
