Students Rally Against Presidential Candidates in Paris

On the morning of April 27th Parisian high school students, along with far left activists, blocked the entrances to several schools throughout the city and staged a protest against both presidential candidates. Chanting “Not Macron, Not Le Pen,” they took to the streets. By 11 a.m. about 300 protesters had gathered at Place de la Republique marching to Bastille and then Boulevard Beaumarchais, throwing bottles and overturning trash cans until police used teargas to disperse the crowds.
