The youngest section of the very high and respected Académie des beaux-arts welcomes a new artist to the chair of photography created in 2005. Elected in 2016 to the rank of academician, Magnum photographer Jean Gaumy officially sits in his chair on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He joins the photographers Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Sebastiao Salgado and Bruno Barbey.
