Magnum Photos and Canon: First Impressions Portfolio Reviews

<b>First Impressions</b> will provide photographers wishing to take the next logical step in their careers with an honest evaluation and critical analysis of their photographic work.

Magnum Photos and Canon are committed to nurturing the next generation of visual storytellers. This Portfolio Review will provide emerging photographers with advice from key industry professionals from around the world, each representing a broad range of experiences in photography: from practice to curatorial, editorial and educational.

Photographers are eligible for one free review each, and every review will be conducted over 20 minutes by industry Professionals, based on portfolios submitted. Once all the applications have been received, our panel will review the work and confirm allotted date and time to successful photographers.

This opportunity should be considered as an investment in your career and is aimed at photographers who feel they are prepared for the realities of the marketplace. This event is not aimed at beginners; we recommend that emerging photographers have published or exhibited their work at least once, or been involved in professional photography work for at least 3 years. Photography/arts based students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Applications are accepted until 1st August and confirmations will be made via email on 5th August.

Reviews are free for selected participants but do not include the cost of travel, accommodation or other related expenses.

Review sessions will take place in the city of Perpignan, France, at the Canon stand during Visa pour l'Image 2016 from August 29 to September 2, 2016.
