The Stars of Alfonso Cuarón's "Roma"

Alfonso Cuarón’s highly regarded “Roma” is a semi-autobiographical film set in Mexico City during the early 1970s. On January 6th he won a Golden Globe for directing the film and the project is expected to do well at the Academy Awards.
“Roma’s” primary characters are Sofia, a middle-class mother played by Marina de Tavira, and Cleo, a nanny played by first-time actress Yalitza Aparicio. In 2018 Cristina de Middel photographed both actresses for a Vanity Fair fashion assignment.
