Despite opening its doors to American tourists last September, the predicted tourism boom in Cuba has been smaller than expected, with US airlines cutting direct flights and tourists favouring alternative Caribbean destinations.
Tourism from other countries however is on the up, and Cuba managed to attract 4 million travellers in 2016.

In January of this year, Martin Parr visited Cuba and turned his lens on the Tourism industry.
