Death Strip. Berlin Wall's Relics and Monuments.

"30 years passed since the collapse of Berlin Wall. Contemporary status of the former death strip - a piece of land between eastern (outside) and western (inside) circle of the wall ranges from memorials to recreation spots with a very few genuine structures of border architecture left around Berlin. The representation of the Berlin Wall moved to symbolic space either historical or touristic.
The stories of the Berlin Wall are camouflaged underneath redesigned and redefined area of the former death strip and the surroundings.
It' a story of various representations of the wall today, from pieces of the wall available on the net and all-over the world, to the non existence of the wal its self until the monuments and constructions in Berlin that are basically fake image of it."
Magnum photographer Rafal Milach has been assigned by Goethe Institut to investigate the remains of Berlin wall in the contemporary landscape and its memories.
