For the occasion of the 100st Birthday of Werner Bischof in 2016, the Werner Bischof Estate provides for the first time unknown original material from the archive for a very special retrospective. The exhibition features original vintage prints, contact sheets, drawings, letters, diaries, publications, books, etc., for a presentation which illustrates the photographer and his work from different perspectives and angles.
A second exhibition, produced by the Musée de l’Elysée and entitled Helvetica, focuses exclusively on Bischof’s Swiss years, the period of training, studio work fashion and advertising and then the war years in Switzerland.
