Escape from North Korea (photographs, video and sound installation) will be featured in a new exhibition Boundaries on the Move: A Cross-Cultural Dialogue. The show deals with boundaries that may seem fixed but are in fact moving and changing. The exhibition presents the works of 16 Taiwanese artists from the years 1980-2012 alongside those of three contemporary artists from Israel—works that interact in a mutual discourse. The participating artists examine boundaries in motion in our everyday lives, as well as the social, political and economic boundaries relevant to life today in Taiwan and Israel. They deal with the complex themes of personal identity, territorial borders, society, economics, and immigration in an age of advanced technology and globalization.
