Each year, leaders of government, politics, business, industry, education and the arts gather for a week of exchanges in the Swiss ski resort of Davos. Organized by the World Economic Forum, which describes itself as 'an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world', the forum also 'provides a collaborative framework for the world's leaders to address global issues, engaging particularly its corporate members in global citizenship'.
