Feature - The Battle for Tripoli
Libya’s escalating violence has prompted international alarm. At least 50,000 people have been displaced and around 400 killed since the conflict resurged last month. The Libyan National Army (LNA) led by Commander Khalifa Haftar has focused their offensive in the capital, Tripoli, which is held by the internationally recognized Government of National Accord (GNA). The LNA, which is allied with a parallel government in the east, has shown no signs of slowing down despite the United Nations’ call for a humanitarian truce.
