While the World Cup Soccer games capture the world’s attention, a different kind of soccer is being played in Fukuoka, Japan, site of the RoboCup 2002. RoboCup was created as a way to develop robotic engineering using the goal of build a team of "fully autonomous humanoid robots" that will be able to win against a human world soccer champion team by the year 2050.
