The Democratic National Convention, held every four years, is the moment where the Democratic Party nominates its candidates for President and Vice President, this year John Kerry and John Edwards accepted these nominations. The official Party platform is also approved at the Convention. During the 2004 Convention, which was held in Boston from July 26th to July 29th, almost 5,000 delegates and 15,000 members of the domestic and foreign press were present.
