One of the biggest websites in China, netease.com, and the department of photography of Renmin Universtiy of China, asked Patrick Zachmann to do a photographic essay on the victims of the earthquake in Sichuan and their environment. The earthquake struck in May 2008 and killed an estimated 70000 people and left another 5 million homeless.
