Robinson is a small village in the suburbs of Paris near Montparnasse, which specialises in bridal receptions by the score. Immediately after a church wedding, bridal parties dash to Robinson, to one of two large restaurants which cater just for weddings. By 4.00pm on any Saturday afternoon, the parties are in full swing with waiters dashing wildly in all directions and tables full of celebrating parties. Dancing is held in a large open-air pavillion with four-piece accordion band. 20 wedding parties arrived on this day.
