50 Years Since the US Civil Rights Act

On July 2nd, 1964 President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into effect. This landmark legislation made racial, religious and gender discrimination illegal and finally outlawed all forms of public segregation.
During the following years, Congress worked to insure that all citizens were being granted every right granted by the US Constitution.
