Magnum Photos & Photo London present: The Graduate Photographers Award 2016, supported by RBB Economics

We are delighted to announce the nominees for the second Graduate Photographers Award, Magnum's collaborative award with <a href='http://photolondon.org/' target='_blank'>Photo London</a>, supported by <a href='http://www.rbbecon.com/' target='_blank'>RBB Economics</a>.

The nomination team of 10 industry experts have selected a pool of rising photographic talent showing great potential, all of whom have graduated from a UK degree course relating to photography or lens-based media in the last three years. The Award aims to provide the graduates with support, visibility and opportunity to meet distinguished professionals from the photography industry.

The ten winners will be announced on 19 May 2016 and will win individual mentoring from a Magnum Photographer, a portfolio review with the nomination panel and their work will displayed in a slideshow in the Screening Room at Photo London, Somerset House, London on 19 May 2016.

Each nominator has selected 10 deserving photographers, creating a pool of up to 100 photographic artists. From this selection a final 10 will be identified by the judging panel: Michael Benson, Director of Candlestar; William A. Ewing, curator, writer and former Director of the Musée de l’Elysée, Lausanne and former Director of Exhibitions at the International Center of Photography, New York Fiona Rogers, Global Business Development Manager at Magnum Photos; and Magnum photographer Mark Power.

The Graduate Photographers Award builds on the collective commitment from Magnum Photos, Photo London and RBB Economics in the support, development and advancement of early career photographers.
