Japanese Self-Defense Force

This week the Japanese military unveiled its largest warship since WWII. This event comes at a time when Japan is questioning it's military's role. North Korea continues to pose a threat and Japan's relationship with China has soured due to both nations claiming the rights to the Senkaku/Diaoyutai Islands.
Japan's post-WWII constitution states that its military forces must be limited to a strictly defensive roll.
