Poland Lockdown

With the May 10th presidential elections approaching, the Polish government lifted some lockdown policies which had been put in place to contain the spread of COVID-19. As of April 19th, the population is now allowed to access shops and public parks. The May election has long been hailed as the make-or-break moment for Poland but some European leaders have accused the Polish government of manipulating its democratic process while putting millions of people at risk.
Rafal Milach has been documenting Poland's lockdown during the coronavirus crisis by photographing closed institutions and business, while the economy and government operations were on hold.
