Jazz musician Manu Dibango, best known for his 1972 single “Soul Makossa,” has died in Paris after contracting COVID-19. The 86 year old saxophone legend was known for mixing jazz and funk with traditional music from Cameroon. In 2009 Michael Jackson settled out of court on a lawsuit claiming he had used elements of Dibango's songs on the album Thriller.
