India. Kolkata. 2016. Mother Teresa's legacy.
In anticipation of the canonization of Mother Teresa in Rome on September 4th, 2016, Sohrab Hura traveled to Kolkata to visit the Missionaries of Charity. Mother Teresa established the Missionaries of Charity in 1950 to serve "the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone.” Hura endeavoured to see the current state of the original location and surrounding area - looking at the legacy that Mother Teresa left behind and the condition of the city she so greatly influenced.
