Feature - #NousToutes, Gender Violence Demonstration
On November 23, dozens of marches were held in French cities to draw attention to Femicides and other forms of gender-based violence. Since the beginning of 2019, at least 115 women have been killed in France by their partners or ex-partners. This is one of the highest rates of murders linked to domestic violence in Western Europe. Using the hashtag #NousToutes (All of Us), protesters accuse the authorities of turning a blind eye to the crimes.
Magnum photographer Raymond Depardon photographed the march in Paris.
