His mother Berivan (30), her husband Ziyad (40) and their five children fled from the war in Der Besiya (northern Syria) in 2013.

Ziyad normally works in housing construction as an independent worker but he has no job since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. Since a few weeks he got a few daily jobs only. ‘Its hard but ok for us’ says Berivan, but our kids are depressed because
of COVID-19, I never let them go out"
