Mawazou, 16 Years old:

"I live in a camp since two years ago. We are seven kids. Three of my brothers were killed, so with them we would be ten kids.
Some time ago I was coming back from a village, where I've gone to visit family members. On the road, while I was walking, a motorcycle rider asked me if he can give me a ride to the camp.

"In the middle of the road he stopped the motorbike and dragged me down. He pushed me towards the bushes and he started to come on top of me, so I said 'it's not possible, don't do that.' When he raped me, he said 'you see? It was possible!' He was right, for him it was possible.

"I sat back on the motorbike again and he dropped me at the camp. I was angry and didn't know what to do. I thought I might have become pregnant so I told my parents and they took me to hospital. I was so scared to be rejected from my family, but my mother told me 'it's not your fault.'"
