Happiness got pregnant when she was 16. As a young single mother living in a very low-income situation, she found help at Young Mom's Clinic (YMC), a governement owned center in Ajeromi specialized in pregnant adolescent girls, funded with the support of UNFPA. At this center, Happiness was provided free ante-natal care services, free baby care items, psychosocial support and counselling for her and her family. "My family is my greatest strength: my dad, mom and siblings all stood by me during my time of pregnancy, they loved me and cherished me". She also received training on basic digital skills so that she could acquire income generating skills. "I hope to build up my own empire one day, to be successful and make my family proud".
Today, she is a hair stylist and serves as a Youth Coach & Mentor and contributes to raise awareness about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
