JAPAN. Nagano. October 28th, 2022. Yaeko Kubota, 75 years old night-watcher at Shibu-Onsen parking lot where she works.

Born in Nagano, she came to Shibu Onsen 45 years ago after getting married. At first a housewife. Part-time, worked in supermarkets, and several other littles jobs until she started working as night-watcher in a parking lot 12 years ago. She was 30 years old when she started.
Ms Onsen says : - « Working in the car park is boring because you have to wait, but there is TV and you can read books. You can do whatever you want. I can have friends over for tea, so I enjoy it.On my days off, I do housework in the morning. The rest of the time I work in the fields. I grow radishes and Chinese cabbage. In the evening I spend time watching TV.

I want to stay healthy. I don't know how long I will be able to continue, but I want to work until I die.
I don't exercise much, but working in the fields is good exercise. »
