Turkey, Istanbul, 2025. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Maltepe district in Istanbul on the 11th day of the mobilization after the Turkish court ordered the imprisonment of Ekrem Imamoglu, mayor of Istanbul, on March 29.

He was detained on March 19th as same day his diploma was revoked (without it, he cannot stand in the presidential elections).

Imamoglu has managed to beat Erdogan's Akp party three times in previous various elections and has announced his candidacy for the next general elections.
